The Most Successful Carpet Fair in Bhadohi – Kuldeep Raj Wattal

 

230 Foreign Buyers Registered in 3 Days at the 47th India Carpet Expo

 

The 47th edition of the India Carpet Expo, organized by the Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) at Bhadohi Carpet Expo Mart, received an overwhelming response from approximately 230 foreign buyers and 251 buying representatives from around the world during the three-day event.

 

During the expo, a roadshow for Bharat Tex 2025 was held by the Council. The Joint Director of Handicrafts, Government of India, Mr. Shekhar Srivastava, provided detailed information about this grand event. He mentioned that Bharat Tex is India’s largest textile show, with participation from 11 export promotion councils. It will be held with the support of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, and the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida. CEPC will play a significant role in Bharat Tex, and Mr. Srivastava appealed to exporters to participate and take advantage of the business opportunities. He further shared that Bharat Tex 2025, the world’s largest textile show, will again take place from 14th to 17th February 2025 in New Delhi.

 

CEPC Chairman, Mr. Kuldeep Raj Wattal, expressed his delight at the overwhelming response the expo received from 230 international buyers and 251 purchasing representatives. He thanked all the participating exporters for their contributions and support, showcasing their latest designs and vibrant products that captivated foreign buyers. He shared that on the third day, many importers placed export orders, and over the past three days, buyers and their representatives actively engaged in business activities at the expo.

 

The Chairman emphasized that for the benefit of the Indian handmade carpet industry, CEPC is requesting all member exporters for continued cooperation and support. The participants displayed many new designs, colors, and patterns that drew significant attention from importers, which will likely lead to new orders in the future.

 

Mr. Wattal highlighted that, according to participant feedback, buyers visited almost all exhibitors, and business discussions are ongoing, with high hopes for excellent business outcomes this time. He also thanked the media for their cooperation and support.
