Today, the 29th September, 2020, Shri Siddh Nath Singh, Chairman, CEPC inaugurated 2nd Virtual Exhibition – Buyer Seller Meet with Special focus on Oceania Market – from 29th Sept. to 1st October, 202 in the august presence of Shri Umesh Kumar Gupta, Shri Sandeep Kataria, Shri Gulam Nabi Bhat, Shri Rajendra Prashad Mishra, Shri Husain Jafar Husaini, Shri Feroze Waziri, Shri Shree Ram Maurya and Shri Bodh Raj Malhotra Members COA, CEPC, Shri Sanjay Kumar, Executive Director, CEPC, participants and Overseas Buyers.

Shri Siddh Nath Singh, Chairman, CEPC in his inaugural speech while welcoming all the Committee Members, Overseas buyers and participants informed that Council is organizing this BSM under the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) Scheme and is providing stands to only 50 Members. Shri Singh is happy to inform that with the joint efforts of the Council and State Govt. of J&K – we have got the participation of 6 Members from the J&K Region in the Virtual BSM.

Shri Singh further informed that Council is working on the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister “आपदा को अवसर में बदलना है” and the basic idea of organizing this BSM is to bridge the gap between Indian products and demand of Handmade Carpets and floor coverings across the globe in post pandemic era.

Shri Singh mentioned that now concept of Virtual Exhibition is not new to our Members and all Members are well aware about the Virtual Exhibition. Our first Virtual Exhibition was a grand success, Members got lot of enquiries and have good business.

Shri Siddh Nath Singh mentioned that Council will came up with more countries/ region specific Virtual Exhibitions in the coming days.

Shri Singh mentioned that the dedicated team of CEPC officials and M/s Falcon Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. our technical partners is providing all possible support to our Members including preparation of digital brochures, uploading of products, assistance in their digital display, one to one meetings with Overseas Buyers etc.

Shri Singh requested those participants who also participated in first Virtual Exhibition to share their views. All appreciated and convey thanks to Chairman, Committee Members, & CEPC for providing them this wonderful opportunity in the crucial time.

Shri Ravi Capoor, IAS, Secretary (Textiles), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India through a Video Message appreciated the efforts of the Council in organizing the Virtual BSM and conveyed his best wishes to all the participants and assured all time support to the Indian Handmade Carpet Industry.

Shri Shantmanu, IAS, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India while appreciating the efforts of the Council is organizing 2nd Virtual Exhibition – BSM for Australia, New Zealand and Oceania Market mentioned the capability of Indian Handmade Carpet Industry to prepare the tailor made carpet as per the requirement of the consumer. Shri Shantmanu invited overseas buyers for the Virtual Exhibition.

Shri Umesh Kumar Gupta, Member COA, CEPC conveyed formal vote of thanks on behalf of the Council and conveyed best wishes to all the participants for their successful participation with lot of business.

All Members of the Committee of Administration are happy and hopeful that the BSM will be beneficial to the Members and they achieve good business.
