Today the 22nd October, 2020, Export Promotion Bureau convened 3rd meeting of the Niryat Bandhu through Video Conferencing under the Chairmanship of Shri Rajendra Tiwari, IAS, Chief Secretary, Govt. of U.P., Shri Navneet Sehgal, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P., Member Secretary UP PCB, Director Agriculture, Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Secretary ID, Special Secretary PWD etc. were present from the State Government side.
Shri Siddh Nath Singh, Chairman, CEPC and Shri Sanjay Kumar, Executive Director attended and represented the Indian Handmade Carpet Industry.
Shri Siddh Nath Singh raised the issue for construction of Hotel of International Status near the Bhadohi Carpet Expo Mart to enable Council to organize activities in the Mart. He further requested for improvement in the existing bad condition of the road in the surroundings of Bhadohi which is very important for the carpet industry.
Shri Navneet Sehgal, IAS, Principal Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P. informed that Govt. has already allotted the land for the Hotel and also sanctioned funds for the improvement of road condition and DM has been instructed to start the work at the earliest.
Shri Siddh Nath Singh further raised the demand for formation of Carpet cluster at Mirzapur, Aurai and near Varanasi. He also requested for flyover on railway crossing between Bhadohi and Varanasi so that smooth connectivity can be established from Babatpur Airport. Subsequently he also requested for creation of common facility center, design studio and testing laboratory at all three above proposed carpet clusters. He also requested Chief Secretary for approval of CFC and design studio in Bhadohi Expo Mart. Chief Secretary and Addl. Chief Secretary both agreed for the same and advised for submission of proposal immediately. Chairman,CEPC appreciated the officials and thanked them for their cooperation.
