Today, the 3rd February, 2020, Shri Siddh Nath Singh, Chairman, CEPC finally took over the Bhadohi Carpet Expo Mart in the august presence of Shri Navneet Sehgal, IAS, Principal Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P., Shri Rajendra Prasad, IAS, District Magistrate, Bhadohi, Smt. Kritika Jyotisna, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, BIDA, Shri Umesh Kumar Gupta, Shri Abdul Rub, Shri Onkar Nath Misra, Shri Rajendra Prasad Mishra, Shri Feroze Waziri, Shri Husain Jafar Husaini, Shree Ram Maurya, Members COA, CEPC, Shri Omkar Nath Mishra, President, AICMA, Shri Parveen Singh, MD, UPICO, Shri Sanjay Kumar, Executive Director, CEPC.
Shri Navneet Sehgal, IAS, Principal Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P mentioned that this is the best property in Purvanchal and U.P. Govt. will provide all needful support and assistance to the Council in running of the Expo Mart.
Shri Siddh Nath Singh, Chairman, CEPC expressed his happiness and mentioned that the Mart will give new identity & dimension to Bhadohi-Mirzapur-Varanasi carpet cluster. Shri Siddh Nath Singh mentioned that Council will start organizing domestic as well as international exhibitions of Carpets in the Mart. We are planning to organize 1st exhibition in May, 2020 with the support of Govt. of U.P.
Shri Siddh Nath Singh, Chairman, CEPC further mentioned that shortly Council will move its Regional Office in the Mart and is planning to establish world class design Studio in the Mart. The world class design Studio will cater the requirement of all member-exporters of the area.
Shri Navneet Sehgal, IAS, Principal Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P agreed to provide all financial assistance to the CEPC for its first Exhibition in the Mart during May, 2020 and for establishing world class design Studio which will definitely give big boom to the exports from the area.
Shri Rajendra Prasad, IAS, District Magistrate, Bhadohi mentioned that this is the pride movement for us to be part of this historic event and is hopeful that it will help in overall development of the Bhadohi and adjoining areas.
Smt. Kritika Jyotisna, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, BIDA also expressed her happiness and assured her full support to the Council in the interest of the development of the trade from the area.
Shri Siddh Nath Singh, Chairman, CEPC and all Members of Committee of Administration, CEPC are hopeful that the Bhadohi Carpet Expo Mart will be a mile stone in the development of the Bhadohi-Mirzapur-Varanasi Carpet belt and the benefit will go directly to the artisans and weaker section of the society in the adjoining areas.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Executive Director, CEPC informed that Council will plan activities to make the Bhadohi Carpet Expo Mart operational and will start the process for allotment of shops in the mart in coming weeks. We will utilize the mart for promotion and branding of Indian Handmade Carpets all over the world in guidance of Chairman and Committee of Administration, CEPC.
