Today, the 7^th February, 2021 Shri Yogeshwar Ram Mishra, IAS, Commissioner Mirzapur, inaugurated the Curtain Raiser Programme of Bhadohi Carpet Expo Mart in the gracious presence of Shri Ravinder Nath Tripathi, Hon’ble MLA, Bhadohi, Shri Siddh Nath Singh, Chairman, CEPC, Shri Jai Karan Singh, Trade Advisor, Ex-Officio Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, Shri Rajendra Prasad, IAS, DM Bhadohi, Shri Ram Badan Singh, SP Bhadohi, Smt. Krittika Jyotsna, IAS, CEO, BIDA, Shri Umesh Kumar Singh, Joint Commissioner (Industries), Shri Harendra Pratap, Deputy Commissioner, GM DIC, Senior Officials from the State Govt., Shri Umar Hameed, 2^nd Vice-Chairman, CEPC, Shri Umesh Kumar Gupta, Shri Onkar Nath Misra, Shri Abdul Rub, Shri Feroze Waziri, Mohd. Shri Siddh Nath Singh, Chairman, CEP in his welcome address conveyed thanks to Shri Yogeshwar Ram Mishra, IAS, Commissioner Mirzapur, Shri Ravinder Nath Tripathi, Hon’ble MLA, Bhadohi, , Shri Jai Karan Singh, Trade Advisor, Ex-Officio Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, , Shri Rajendra Prasad, IAS, DM Bhadohi, Shri Ram Badan Singh, SP Bhadohi, Smt. Krittika Jyotsna, IAS, CEO, BIDA, Shri Umesh Kumar Singh, Joint Commissioner (Industries), Shri Harendra Pratap, Deputy Commissioner, GM DIC, Senior Officials from the State Govt., Members from COA, CEPC, Member-Exporters etc. for sparing their valuable time for the Curtain Raiser Programme.

Shri Siddh Nath Singh informed that Carpet Export Promotion Council has finally taken over the Bhadohi Carpet Expo Mart and shifted its Regional Office in the Mart. Shri Siddh Nath Singh informed that Mart is build in 7.5 Acre and is fully air conditioned with lifts and other facilities of international level. Mart is having Exhibition Hall of 7,000 sq. mtr., 94 permanent shops for display of Handmade Carpets and other floor coverings and conference room. Council will built a restaurant of international standard on 2^nd floor., BIDA has already allotted space near mart for construction of 5 Start Hotel of International level. Council will organize 2 International Exhibitions in a year in which Overseas Buyers from 60 countries will visit. Council will also organize 5-7 Domestic Exhibitions of – Garments, Leather Products, Jute Products, Handicrafts, North East Products, Moradabad Brass, Mirzapur Bartans etc. More than 600 exporters and Artisans of Bhadohi and Mirzapur will be directly get benefit of the mart.

Shri Singh mentioned that by this Curtain Raiser Programme Council is opening the Gate of Mart for the trade/ Member-Exporters, they can officially viewed and experience the world class facilities and amenities available in the mart. Bhadohi Carpet Expo Mart will bring the whole world Market or overseas Buyers to the exporters and weavers at their home in Bhadohi and expressed hope that the Mart will be beneficial to all stake holders.

Shri Yogeshwar Ram Mishra, IAS, Commissioner Mirzapur in his address appreciated the efforts made by Shri Siddh Nath Singh, Chairman, CEPC in taking over of the Bhadohi Carpet Expo Mart which will be the mile stone in development of not only Bhadohi- Mirzapur and adjoining areas.

Shri Umesh Kumar Singh, Joint Commissioner (Industries) conveyed formal vote of thanks on behalf of the CEPC and Directorate of Industries, Govt. of U.P. and assured full support for the growth of the industry.

All VIPs and dignitaries expressed their happiness and assured their full support for the growth of the Indian Handmade Carpet Industry.
